The Game 2009 Scoring System

Welcome to The Game 2009. The inaugural season of this massive game is set to begin with the start of the 2009 NASCAR season on February 15. As a result, our draft for The Game 2009 will be Sunday, February 8, at 3:30 p.m. If you can't make it online, let me know, and I'll tell you how to pre-rank your draft list. (With this massive of a game though, it's best if you're online at draft time.)

HOW IT WORKS

  • The Game 2009 will consist of 6 phases, each one representing a different sport: (in order of start of season) NASCAR, MLB, NCAA Football, NFL, NBA, and NCAA Men's Basketball.
  • Each player will draft teams/drivers for each sport and will receive points based on how those teams/drivers perform for the 2009 season.
  • After each phase is wrapped up, players will receive points based on final ranking in that phase. (For example, with 5 players, 1st Place would get 4 points, 2nd would get 3, 3rd 2, 4th 1, and 5th 0.
Here are the scoring systems for the 6 phases, or sports:

  1. will we have multiple teams in each sport? and if so how many teams will we have? Is there some type of cap of how many people you can have? and with the draft, will we draft every team from one sport and then move onto the next one or will we just do a free-for-all with whatever. Just wondering before I pre-rank my stuff.
